Have an English gentleman measure you up for some custom made spectacles at our Bespoke trunk show. British spectacle designer Tom Davies brings the luxury of bespoke to frames. Have a sophisticated series of measurements taken, select from our portfolio of matierials and colors and input your design ideals into our online design wizard. You then choose the frame you like and wait for it to be handmade exclusively for you. Typically, you will have your unique, personalized new glasses within three weeks. Please join us Thursday, February 25th, 2010 from 12pm – 6pm.

“In 1986, opticians Dennis and Larry Leight purchased an estate collection of vintage, American-made eyewear. The assortment included thousands of beautifully filigreed rimless and metal frames, including clip-on sun lenses, produced by iconic American companies. The frames were unworn, in mint condition, in their original packaging. Given their love for 1940s – 1960s eyewear, it was a goldmine for the Leight brothers, who envisioned designing an authentic collection of classic eyewear and creating a unique retail experience in their own gallery. They purchased the entire lot, which included a receipt signed with the name “Oliver Peoples,” who they reasoned was the original owner or distributor. When they decided to sell the estate collection later that same year in their first optical boutique on legendary Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California, it only seemed fitting to use that name in his honor.” – oliverpeoples.com

Tom Davies visited our store on Wednesday July 1st, 2009. How exciting it was to have the designer designing glasses for our customers right in our own store. Clients waited an hour to see Mr. Davies customize the right look for them.
If you were unable to stop by that day, we presently are the only account in New York that has been trained to measure, design and create a custom look for you. You can choose the colors of plastic and metal. What makes this line so unique is that you can have frames custom fitted to your face.
