Founders Dianne Szwed and Karen Sacco believe in bringing a global perspective to the forefront of the designer eyewear industry. They opened Optical Heights with the vision of enhancing people’s look and feel by introducing them to high quality fashionable designs.
In 1992, Dianne and Karen met working as licensed opticians in an optical boutique in Great Neck, New York. After two years of working together, they quickly realized their mutual aspiration for opening their own optical boutique and in 1996 Optical Heights was open for business.
Always seeking out new original designers, Dianne and Karen stay at the cusp of innovation and style. They are highly influenced by European trends, which has been the inspiration for the collections they have brought to Optical Heights. Throughout the years, Dianne and Karen have been an integral component in raising brand awareness for many of these designers, ultimately contributing to their increased popularity.
After establishing themselves as a source for sought after designer eyewear, Optical Heights has branched out into the world of customized eyewear. Frames created on an individual basis according to personal measurements and style, Optical Heights uses an endless palette of colors and finishes to complete each piece.
In 2011, Dianne and Karen released their own private collection of luxury eyewear called Sacco Szwed.
